Hosted at The Higher Space, Liverpool (HQ for Wired Aerial Theatre) – come and join independent artist Stuart Waters for a day of dance training and research development.

Stuart is delivering a whole host of professional workshops throughout the UK (including visiting Birmingham Dance Network and Mótus Dance Festival, Milton Keynes) and we are pleased and excited to be bringing him up to LIVERPOOL and the North West.

Stuart has performed extensively nationally and internationally for companies such as Protein Dance, Motionhouse Dance Theatre, Wired Aerial Theatre, Barebones and Panta Rei Dance Theatre (Oslo).

Stuart has a drive to teach and choreograph and has recently been part of the Dance UK mentoring program. Stuart has taught in all areas of dance education and community in a variety of settings.

The day is an opportunity for professional training and exploration beginning with a fun and challenging contemporary dance technique class. The rest of the day will be an enquiry into questions raised from Stuart’s research and development period for a new work, which will be taken into production in 2016. Stuart will lead participants through improvisation and tasks with the chance to observe and discuss individual thoughts and discoveries.

The day will be a chance to explore and play through physicality and voice work exploring themes such as greed, gluttony and commercialism in the 21st century touching on areas such as family and loneliness.
