Wired boasts a diverse team of experienced professionals, all highly qualified and skilled at working in the air. We can supply a variety of services to support and meet your requirements, offering over the phone support, site visits and on-going consultation right through to equipment supply, rigging installation and provision of H&S documentation.
Wendy and Jamie can work separately or together, covering everything from artistic conception and finding perfect locations for aerial work, through to designing aerial set ups on sites that are thought to have no rigging potential at all.
Wendy and Jamie focus on finding the perfect aerial techniques for the show/event as well as ensuring that all involved can utilise and operate safely and confidently throughout. Wendy regularly trains actors to work in the air and crafts aerial moments into shows, working closely with Directors and the artistic team to get the use of aerial skills just right. This has also involved training actors to counter balance too!
Jamie can suggest the use of specific equipment and set ups to either mask or highlight the aerial nature of the work, and works with theatre staff/operators to ensure safe delivery of the work. Imagine an aerial architect at work if you can...
We can also leave a member of our climbing staff with you to form part of the production team too.
Recent shows we have provided aerial artistry services and consulted on include Peter Pan at Regents Park Outdoor Theatre (London), Bugsy Malone at Lyric Hammersmith, Rapunzel and A Mid-Summer Nights Dream at The Everyman (Liverpool) and Romeo and Juliet at HOME (Manchester – performed at Victoria Baths).
We at Wired know how amazing it feels to fly. If there is any way of spreading the love and we can help you fulfil your dreams then contact us. Make a Wish Foundation did (on behalf of the most beautiful Luke) and we made his dream come true to fly like Superman!
We have an extensive range of aerial equipment for hire, including truss, ropes, pulleys, karabiners and strops.
